Fundraising guidance

We know that fundraising can seem daunting - so much information, so many sheets and so many things that could go wrong! With our children's art fundraisers there's no need to worry. Follow our simple tips and tricks to create the perfect designs and raise the most commission possible for your school or group.

Creating a masterpiece

To achieve the best printed results, we recommend full coverage designs that use bright/bold felt-tip pens. For the self-portrait tea towel fundraiser, it's important that the children write their first names clearly on their pictures somewhere - otherwise the parents won't recognise their artwork on the group tea towels! We appreciate this is tricky for the little ones especially, so for them we suggest poster paint and a little adult assistance with any writing.

All of our products (including Christmas cards) are set up to work with portrait designs only on the original artwork sheets provided. Encourage the children to keep their designs within the artwork area indicated with a black border. Any parts of the drawing that spill over this border will not be uploaded as part of the finished design.

We process artwork using a roller-fed scanner, so please don't stick anything to the sheets as they will not feed through the scanner properly. If using paint, avoid 'paint peaks' and make sure the sheets are completely dry before packing - otherwise they tear and spoil the children's hard work!

Making the most of your fundraising project

Stick as close as possible to the return date written on the covering letter inside your fundraising pack. You could even send it back a bit sooner if you're super organised! Simply put, the more time parents have to order the more commission you will make.

Promotion is key to your fundraising success! We supply all the materials you will need to advertise the project free of charge - including printed leaflets and stickers and a bunch of social media graphics and printables that can be downloaded via your coordinator portal. You can also keep track of how well your fundraiser is going, with a live running commission total and complete breakdown of all the products sold through your parent order portal.

Refer us to as many other schools or children's groups as possible and for each one that registers using the unique referral code found in your coordinator portal, you will both receive an extra £10 commission each! We only ask that the group you refer to us hasn't used us before and returns a minimum of 30 completed artwork sheets.

Do...

  • Get all children to produce artwork, not just 1 or 2 classes

  • Complete the artwork as part of a group activity

  • Return your completed artwork sheets together and on time

Don't...

  • Let your children take the artwork sheets home

  • Let your children complete the top section of the artwork sheets themselves

  • Let your children produce artwork on anything other than a supplied artwork sheet
